Boylesports announces record turnover

/2007-10-29/

Irish bookmaker Boylesports announced a record 25 per cent increase in turnover, to €629.3 million, for the year ending June 2007. Operating profit rose in the same period to €15.6 million, a jump of nearly €12 million against the previous year.

CEO Daniel O’Mahony said: "Last year’s results were excellent, but we have taken an even bigger step forward over the last twelve months with record turnover and revenue growth.

"We have invested in more shops and our new sponsorship and marketing partnerships have really helped boost our profile in the UK," he added.

The leading independent firm said the results were down to a 'string of favourable sports results', including the 2007 Cheltenham Festival and Aintree Grand National, which were particular positive for the company.
