The online backgammon website Play65 is running a special series of tournaments in which Israel's top backgammon player will be named and will get a chance to win the World Backgammon Association Portuguese Open.

All through the month of March, Play65 will host a series of online backgammon tournaments. The Grand Finala will take place on March 31, 2008; the winner will be declared Israel's backgammon champion and will fly, on Play65 expense, to the prestigious European backgammon event 2008 Portuguese Open.

Once again, the online backgammon room Play65, is giving its players an opportunity to compete against the world's top backgammon pros. This time, the final winner of Play65 special Playoff65 promotion will fly to lovely the Estoril in Portugal to take part in the 3rd Portuguese Open and Backgammon Davis Doubles on April 29-May 4, 2008. The prestigious backgammon event is organized by the World Backgammon Association (WBA) and it is one of the most expected tournaments amongst European backgammon pros.

At the end of 2007, Play65 has amazed the European backgammon circuit when both the Double Davis European champion and finalist at the 19th City of Venice International Backgammon Tournament have arrived to the event after winning in online backgammon qualifiers on Play65 backgammon event.

Playoff65 promotion is open, free of charge, to all of Play65 members from Israel. Starting on March 2nd, the promotion features hourly online backgammon tournaments from Sunday to Friday and weekly qualifiers on Saturdays, until March 29th. The winners of the Saturday qualifiers will take part in a live backgammon event that will take place on the last day of the month and will be broadcast on sport5 channel.

The winner of the March 31st live backgammon event will be named Israel's backgammon champion and will be sent to represent the country in the WBA Portuguese Open event at the Casino Estoril in Portugal. The runner up and semifinalists will be awarded with stylish backgammon sets and Play65 merchandises.
