December 18, 2006 (New York, NY)- Do you think NBA Commissioner David Stern was getting tired of all the attention that the NFL is garnering and informed the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks that a good fashion brawl was needed?



For the second season in a row, the NBA has shown America that boorish and disgusting behavior is part of their marketing strategy. Needless to say Carmelo Anthony shoes will be selling off the shelves this week as youngsters want to present that thug image.









The NBA could wait until Monday before ruling on penalties resulting from the brawl between the Nuggets and Knicks. All 10 players on the court, including league scoring leader Carmelo Anthony were ejected after the melee Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. The mayhem began when New York's Mardy Collins flagrantly fouled the Nuggets' J.R. Smith with 1:15 left in Denver's 123-100 victory.



Anthony could receive one of the harshest penalties. He twice escalated actions, shoving Robinson in the neck and throwing a hard punch that dropped Collins just when things seemed to be calming down.



What is disturbing about this entire sordid affair is that many Denver residents plunk down thousands of dollars for season tickets with the anticipation that they will be able to watch the talented Anthony. A lengthy suspension means that these fans are not getting the product that was advertised.



While most of America will be spoiling themselves with turkey and all the fixings, America's most popular online sportsbook, Sportsbook.com and its amazing staff, will put off their holidays until after the College Football Bowl season has been completed January 8th.

While the NBA West has some great teams in San Antonio and Utah, the East is an embarrassment with the Boston Celtics leading the Atlantic Division with a pathetic 10-13 mark.
