In the 1950’s and 60’s the population of the United States was much smaller, and things like books and teachers salaries were much less expensive.



Today the money from taxes just is not enough to pay for the public educational system, and many parents who can afford it are choosing private schools and home schooling for their children’s education, but what about those who can not afford an expensive private school.









How can we expect to remain a global leader if we fall behind in educating the future leaders of tomorrow, the fact is that we can not.



Most American will agree that education is the key to reducing homelessness, drug abuse and many other of Americas ills, but no one wants to have more of their money taken from them to help pay for the improvements needed in the educational system, so how de we do it?



The best way to raise the money needed to put American schools back at the top of the worlds educational ranking is to legalize online gambling in the USA, regulate it and tax the casinos on their earnings and tax money earned from winnings.



Based on numbers from the past 5 years, if the United States would allow American casinos to enter into the online gambling industry the United States could raise up to 1.5 Billion dollars a year in new taxes, to help pay for more teachers, computers in the class, and many more much needed resources.



Along with these extra books and teachers schools would also have money to hire more and better trained security. One of the leading problems in schools nowadays is violence, student shootings and gang related violence in schools is at an unbelievable all time high.



“We can not expect to be able to educate these kids when they are too scared to even show up for class” said a teacher from one of New York’s inner city schools, She continued to say” we need more books and more classrooms so we can give the kids more individual teacher time”



In recent Congressional Elections, the democrats successfully managed to wrestle control away from the Republicans, and now we see many open to the legalization of a regulated internet gambling industry about to take office.



Not only can this money be used to help raise kids that would otherwise be stuck in a life of poverty, but it could also help bring about a way to provide healthcare to many children whose parents can not afford health insurance.



During my entire life I have always herd people say the children are the future. Then why has the government banned a way to make some of the money needed to ensure these kids have every opportunity that has been denied them so far in life.



The only way as Americans for us to guarantee the survival of our way of life and our place as the greatest nation on the planet we need to stop ignoring those of the next generation who need our help today so they can help us tomorrow.
